In 1938 founder Heinrich Großekämper established the company by building a brick factory.
In the mid 1950s the sand-lime brick factory Heinrich Großekämper Kalksandstein GmbH was founded.
The production of plastic packaging/ buckets began in 1970 by the foundation of the H. Großekämper Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG. New and innovative product developments, further investments in state-of-the-art machinery and an organic growth supported the successful corporate development.
Founder Heinrich Großekämper and his son Heinrich Bernhard Großekämper soon established the protected trademark groku as a sign for high quality plastic buckets.
In 1993 the trademark was integrated in the address and company name – groku Kunststoffe GmbH.
By the end of 2010 the successful company development was supported by the construction of an additional manufacturing hall and warehouse.
