New possibilities

The production of plastic packaging began in 1970 with the founding of H. Großekämper Kunststoffe GmbH & Co KG. Initially, the company focused on the niche market of oval plastic buckets.

The success of the specialization was reflected in the rapid and positive development of the company. The company acquired specialist knowledge in the manufacture of plastic buckets and was thus able to further expand its product range for customers. The company soon had to expand and new production halls and warehouses were built.

groku

groku – derived from Großekämper Kunststoffe – originated from the logo design shown in the background in the mid-1970s. Initially, the logo was used for pragmatic reasons to identify the products.

After 45 years, the groku brand is successfully established on the market and stands for high-quality plastic packaging.

A question of quality

groku entered the new millennium with a growth story that has continued over the last few decades – not least because plastic packaging has become very popular with customers.

The company continued to develop new container shapes for national and international customers and was thus able to gain new business areas.

The product portfolio now includes a wide range of container sizes in oval buckets, round buckets and rectangular/square buckets.

Expansion

In 2010, another production hall was built to meet the high demands of the food industry. State-of-the-art machinery was created and capacities in the food packaging sector were expanded.

In the non-food area, investments were also made in machinery and corresponding peripheral equipment.
